Baseball Splits Weekend Series with Ridgewater

The Anoka-Ramsey Baseball team split their 4-game series with Ridgewater over the weekend, dropping their two road games by scores of 23-15 and 8-5, before returning home and winning 4-2 and 9-8.


In their marathon 23-15 loss, the Golden Rams got 14 hits including a 4 for 5 performance from Brett Leabch with four runs scored.


Camden Everhart had three RBI.  Jack Teachworth had two hits.


In their 4-2 win on Sunday, Cole Swift, Ramon Perez, Everhart, Isaiah Mead, and Matthew Popp each had a hit.  Everhart had two RBI.  


Zane Christianson picked up the win throwing five innings and allowing just two hits while striking out three.


Carson Shaver got the save allowing just one hit in two innings of relief.


Game two on Sunday saw the Golden Rams put five runs on the board in the bottom of the second, thanks to a grand slam from Leabch.  Caden Johnson was 2 for 2 with four RBI.


Isaac Kawlewski got the win throwing five innings and scattering three hits.  Shaver picked up the save again striking out three batters in the top of the seventh.


Anoka-Ramsey improves to 10-9 overall, sitting in third place in the MCAC Central Division at 4-2.
