The Intercollegiate Film Festival is happening April 23rd of this year.
For several years the Twin Cities Film Fest has held a celebration of the works of college students across Minnesota.
It will be held at the Edina Mann Theatre at 7pm, with a ticket price of $15.
Only allowing submissions from college students, the Intercollegiate Film Festival is an opportunity for students to share their work with a wider audience, as well as an opportunity for the community to get more in touch with the art programs of several universities. The chosen films were announced on the 1st, 15 in total.
The titles and directors are as follows: Cash Out! by Ian Porter, Eel Patrol by Cade Janvrin, Experimental Essay by Grayson Tenor, Inheritance by Caleb Welsch, Mister Robinson by Max Jacobson, Pinhole at the Edge of the Earth by Julia Curry, Picture Day by Kyle Xiong, The Purr-fect Crime by Nash Hoover, The Trainer by Braden Williams, Willow by Birch Carlson, Ya Chupó Faros (To Bite The Dust) by Nico Gomez Fisher, Brain Rot by Travis Alajoki, Oxsolate — “Hailstorm” by Colin Vatsveen, Light Snack by Peter Rudolph.
The event is also an awards show, a chance for students to earn accolades for their work. The Intercollegiate Film Festival offers rewards for audience choice, best of show, and categories such as narrative fiction, animation, documentary, experimental and responsibility.
The festival is run by the Twin Cities Film Fest, an organization that seeks to promote and assist aspiring filmmakers. They run around three major events each year, and offer a variety of internships and programs. From videography to marketing, the Twin Cities Film Fest is a great gateway to further a film career.
