Softball splits weekend series

The Anoka-Ramsey Softball team split their weekend series picking up wins over MN North Itasca and Northland, and falling to Central Lakes and MN North Vermilion.
In a 10-7 win over Itasca, Madison Abernathy went 3 for 4 with three RBI, Francie Gregor was 3 for 3 with three RBI and four runs scored, while Delainey Johnson went 2 for 4 with two RBI.
Alexandra Rysdam threw six innings striking out four.
Against Northland in a 9-1 win, Delainey Johnson was 3 for 3, Rysdam and Cordelia Johnson each had two hits. Cordelia Johnson belted a home run while also pitching all five innings allowing just two hits and striking out eight.
The matchup with Brainerd saw the Golden Rams manage just three hits in a 8-0 loss.
In a 6-2 loss to Vermilion, the Golden Rams recorded six hits, two from Abernathy and two from Gregor.
Anoka-Ramsey is 3-5 overall.
