Baseball goes 3-1 over weekend

The Anoka-Ramsey Baseball team went 3-1 over the weekend, getting a win over MN North Vermilion, two wins over MN North Hibbing, and falling to Riverland.


The Golden Rams beat Vermilion 17-3 and topped Hibbing 22-8 and 11-4, then falling to Riverland by a 10-7 score.


Highlights vs Vemilion included Cole Swift going 3-4 with three runs scored, Brett Leabch going 3-4 with three RBI, and Collin Tollefson going 3-3 with five RBI.

Leabch, Antonio Rivera, and Tollefson each hit home runs.


Zane Christianson picked up the win throwing four innings and scattering five hits.

Game one vs Hibbing saw the Golden Rams put up ten runs in the 3rd inning to blow the game open.


Jack Teachworth went 3 for 4 with six RBI and two runs scored belting two home runs.


Ramon Perez had two hits and three RBI.  Andrew Pieh threw four innings striking out seven batters.


Highlights from game two vs Hibbing had Perez going 3 for 3 with two home runs and five RBI.  Swift and Camden Everhart each had two RBI.


Isaac Kawlewski threw four innings, allowing four hits and striking out three.  Matt Baumann came in in relief throwing three innings with two hits and four strikeouts.


The final matchup of the weekend had Anoka-Ramsey falling to Riverland.  Tollefson went 4 for 4 with four RBI incluing two home runs.  Evan Krogen and Will Ambrose each had two hits.


Anoka-Ramsey evens their record at 6-6 on the season.
